East Anglian rock/Americana group Morganway are set to bring us their debut self-titled album on August 2nd 2019, along with a string of tour dates around the UK.
Founded by twin brothers Callum & Kieran Morgan, & keyboard player Matt Brocklehurst in 2016, Morganway swiftly grew into a supergroup with the joining of singer SJ Mortimer, fiddle player Nicole J Terry, & drummer Ed Bullinger.
Inspired by such names as Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac & other classic guitar bands such as The Eagles, Morganway quickly grew attention on the live circuit with their own unique sound that is influenced by a large variety of Americana, country, pop, rock & indie to create an exciting string of performances that capture their audiences full attention.
With the magic they deliver through their live performances, Callum spoke about bringing the live magic into the studio by saying “It couldn’t become too sanitised in the studio so the bulk of it was recorded live, with minimal overdubs.”
He continued “I think all art is frozen in its time, forever reflecting the moment in which it was made but also, hopefully, speaking to the person that discovers it in their own time. Jackson Browne says he still calls recordings ‘records’, regardless of their physical or digital format, because to him, they’re ‘a record of events’.”
