Upcoming alt-pop singer-songwriter Flo Wilkes shares the brand new single “Guilty”, a dramatic, hard-hitting track about betrayal, broken trust and the messiness of knowing a relationship is falling apart.
This latest single explores that moment when you know a relationship is falling apart but you’re still hoping the other person will feel something when they see you break. It’s a revenge anthem on the surface but underneath it’s more vulnerable than that.
The official music video for ‘Guilty’ follows Flo as she discovers her boyfriend has been cheating on her and, with the help of her four best friends, plots an elaborate revenge. Faking her own death, the group plaster the city with missing posters and leave increasingly unsettling clues around his home, pushing him towards paranoia and eventually into a staged funeral at King’s College Chapel, where he is confronted by the ghost of Flo herself.
Blending psychological horror, dark comedy and high-concept choreography, the video builds a striking world around its four central characters, with an incredible dance sequence choreographed by Kai Patel providing one of its standout moments. Directed by Eve Dyson and creatively directed by Mukhtar Mukhlis, the video begins and ends at the iconic King’s College Chapel, giving the story a theatrical, almost surreal sense of closure.
