Now, this gifted artist shares her heart with listeners through the release of the powerfully haunting single “Serenity”, which touches on a topic that most (if not all) listeners can relate to.
Speaking about the song, ALYXX said “I wrote “Serenity” back in March of this year. I often feel like I’m battling my own mind and I ended up writing this song about it subconsciously. I had written the piano part for what later became the chorus, and the lyrics “I’m asking thee, to set me free, I long to be in serenity” just came out. I wrote Serenity as a reminder to put myself first every now and then. I have a tendency to bite off more than I can chew and end up overwhelmed as a result. I have a hard time relaxing because I always feel like I could and should be doing more. I need to accept that taking a step back to breathe is ok. Enjoy the in-betweens in life.”
ALYXX continued “I’ve experienced burnout more times than I’d like to admit. I have a hard time saying no, which often results in added stress and lack of sleep. Like the song says, ‘I long to be in serenity.’ Life will always be hectic and stressful, but there can be calmness within the chaos.”
The song slowly builds with an eerie atmospheric tone that quickly turns into an up-tempo anthem that you will be singing along to in no time at all.
