Upcoming songstress XOHA has unveiled the brand new single “TOO LATE”, which centres around overcoming negativity & toxic people within your life.
This newest track focuses on her journey of growing into a more confident person and working on self-development that gives her the strength to continue on her chosen path in life.
The song delivers a message to everyone who is struggling with relationship issues, giving them the freedom to find their inner power and level up in their lives, leaving unnecessary people behind.
XOHA has kindly taken the time to speak with Fierce & Fabulous Revolution regarding her latest release, along with getting to know a little more about the artist behind the music. You can find the full interview below.
Hey XOHA, thank you so much for this interview. Can you start by telling the readers a little bit about yourself?
XOHA: Of course! My name is XOHA, and I’m a teen retro-contemporary pop artist. Along with being a singer-songwriter, I often accompany myself with the guitar and piano.
When did you first discover your passion for music?
XOHA: I began singing and playing a variety of instruments from a very young age, purely out of extracurricular needs. However, soon enough I was immersing myself in all types of genres, including classical and theater tunes to enhance my guided training. From the technique lessons and newfound skills, I found a passion that I truly loved.
Have you always known that you wanted to pursue a career within the music industry?
XOHA: Deep down I always knew what I wanted to pursue, but my first experience in the recording studio confirmed all of those dreams. The emotion and expression I felt under the mic was unmatched, and it was at that moment that I knew this was my path. The process excited me, and it never felt like work.
You are about to release the new single “TOO LATE.” How did the idea for this song come together?
XOHA: My inspiration for “TOO LATE” came about after lots of self-reflection during quarantine. The more I thought about my morals in comparison to the people I surrounded myself with, I realized they didn’t align in a way that was beneficial to my wellbeing. Many of my relationships were laced with toxicity, and it simply wasn’t worth feeling bad. So, after an extensive reflection process, the song unraveled and developed into what it is today!
Did you always plan to release “TOO LATE” as a single?
XOHA: Yes! I believe that at the beginning of my journey, singles are more ideal than albums.
What does this song personally mean to you?
XOHA: To me, this song represents flourishing into a more confident being by overcoming self-doubt and negative energy. It delivers a message to all of the people struggling with relationship issues, giving them the freedom to find their inner power and level up in their lives, leaving unnecessary people and energy behind. It also embraces the feeling of progress and victory over past ideals.
If listeners could take anything away from this song, what would you like it to be?
XOHA: Internalize this electric energy and become the absolute version of you, for yourself.
What are some of the things you enjoy outside of music?
XOHA: Outside of my musical life, I am a highly trained martial artist, as I have done Jiu Jitsu and Taekwondo for the majority of my life. Aside from being an excellent source of physical activity, martial arts teaches important life lessons, such as persistence, discipline, respect, and self-reliance. In many ways, these core values have helped me excel in school as well as my music.
If you could perform a duet with anyone in the world, who would you choose & why?
XOHA: I think I’d have to choose The Weeknd. His rhythms and instruments heavily emulate the electric sounds often found in 80’s songs, which are some of my biggest inspirations.
What message would you offer to anyone who was looking to pursue a career within the music industry?
XOHA: One piece of advice I would give is to trust and enjoy the process. It is definitely a tough industry to be a part of, but there’s so much rich knowledge to gain over the course of the beginning stages.
Finally, is there a message that you would like to share with the readers of Fierce & Fabulous Revolution?
XOHA: I hope you all love “TOO LATE”! Get up, dance, and just have fun.
