Now, Fierce & Fabulous Revolution is excited to share with you the premiere for the release of the stripped-down acoustic version of this recent track, alongside an interview with the talented artist herself.

Hey Andrea, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Can you tell the listeners a little bit about yourself?

Andrea: Hi and thank you so much for taking the time to interview me! I’m Andrea Vasquez, a country artist and songwriter. I’m originally from Los Angeles but spent some time growing up in Virginia which is where my love for country music came from. My dad’s side of the family is incredibly musical, and I was always surrounded by music and knew I wanted to pursue a career in it at a young age.

How would you describe your musical style to someone who is not familiar with your work?

Andrea: My style of music is country with a little bit of pop and rock influences, and my songs definitely have some sass behind them. I want listeners to feel good and empowered by my lyrics and feel confident when they listen to my music!

You have just released the acoustic version of your single “Now I’m Gone”, which sounds amazing by the way. How did the idea to produce this version come together?

Andrea: Thanks so much! This song is definitely more personal than some of my other songs and I wanted a more “stripped” version to just showcase what the song really is and what it means. I wanted it to just be me, a piano, and wanted it to be shot in black and white. We were able to do just that and have the lyrics really stand out which was my goal with this acoustic version.

What is the main inspiration behind “Now I’m Gone”?

Andrea: “Now I’m Gone” is a song I wrote a few years ago that I came back to after going through some… stuff. I heard it again when choosing what songs we were going to record and I was like “wow. okay, now I really connect with it”. I think it was just the right timing to release the song and I had such a blast recording it.

How would you describe the creative process behind this song compared to previous releases?

Andrea: Because this song is such an empowering one, I wanted it to be raw and real. The artwork was done pretty simply on a polaroid camera and we kept the acoustic video simple as well which I liked since the recorded version had so much dynamic to it.

What does the song personally mean to you?

Andrea: This song is about knowing when something or someone is just not serving you any good anymore and you can’t hold on any longer or else it starts to bring you down. It’s about knowing when it’s time to walk away from a situation like that and to know your worth. I was ready to put this one out because it’s based off a situation that led me to where I am today, and it feels so good to now be on the other side.

What message would you love listeners to take away from the song?

Andrea: I hope listeners can feel like a badass when listening to this and can feel empowered by the message. I hope anyone that can relate to this song will also find comfort in knowing other people have gone through the same thing and came out stronger.
