Animated dance-pop singer-songwriter Freddie Joon has unveiled the highly anticipated third EP, “Unicorn”, which encapsulates a collection of fun, uplifting songs celebrating positivity, inclusivity & embracing individuality.
Discussing the album, Freddie shared “It’s my confidence song. It’s about never shrinking or squashing yourself for anyone, or diminishing who you are for the sake of others around you and what they might think – Always be 100% you, champion how unique and incredible you are and embrace your differences. Take up space, be loud, behave and dress how you want – and the right people will accept you for who you are”.
This latest EP is a five-anthem-filled musical utopia of pop wonderfulness that guides you through animated & ear-catching bops that will leave you craving more.
The EP begins with the self-titled dance-pop anthem “Unicorn”, which is an energetic dancefloor filler full of self-love & positivity that will have you singing along from the very first listen. This could easily be one of the songs of the summer.
The second song, “Ur Stanger”, is a mid-tempo pop bop about the first moment you experience a euphoric high of feeling on top of the world. Its catchy lyrics & easy-listening backing make it a winner for any fun-loving pop playlist.
We then move on to “Vanish!” which brings another instalment of mid-tempo electro-pop & dance-pop goodness full of passionate lyrics that make it a petty-revenge anthem for the ages.
The fourth edition is the tongue-n-cheek “Ur So Nice”, whose lyrics will have you bopping along, but also focusing on the storytelling that will grab your attention (especially the chorus!).
The final song, “Insecure”, is a perfect finale for this EP by bringing a sense of warming tones alongside a heartfelt lyrical piece, which also showcases the delicate tones of Freddie’s incredible vocals.
Overall, this EP is another shining example of the excellent songwriting talents Freddie possesses by delivering a variety of energetic pop anthems that carry an assortment of empowerment & heartfelt emotions.
The EP also expresses the charismatic nature of Freddie’s attention-grabbing vocals & lays a foundation for this incredible tracklist of songs to make waves in the music scene. I honestly would not be surprised to see this attracting a lot of listeners very shortly.
