REVIEW: Morganway Releases Their Brand New Album “Back To Zero”!

Following a range of highly acclaimed singles & a headline UK tour, Multi-award-winning collective Morganway unveils their dramatically power-hitting album “Back To Zero”.

Morganway is founded by twins Callum (lead vocals, bass) and Kieran Morgan (guitar, vocals) & formed up alongside SJ Mortimer (lead vocals), Matt Brocklehurst (keyboard, vocals), Nicole J Terry (fiddle, vocals) & Ed Bullinger (drums, vocals). Since their debut, this talented six-piece has received vast airplay & become a prominent face on the live circuit scene.

This brand-new album reflects an unusual period in this talented collective’s history. The album was originally brought to the creative process during the 2020 lockdown period & then worked into spare durations during their busy tour schedule.

Callum shared “Although it was written before 2020, as we were developing this album in-between lockdowns and then completing it when the live scene was finally starting to return, the idea of “heading back” meant more to us than ever. As a band we were unable to perform together, we were unable to be together, so effectively the path it felt like we were on upon releasing our debut album had suddenly hit reset. Yet there’s also a very uplifting idea to starting over. Back to basics. It’s like meditation in a way, resetting the mind.’

The album carries influences of Americana, folk, indie-pop, & rock to create a stimulatingly authentic musical class that shines across all nine songs on this ear-catching tracklist.

Right from the first few seconds of the album’s opener, “Wait For Me”, you know you’re in for a real musical treat. This song reflects the authentic nature of this collective by expressing a host of musical styles that merge into each other to create an amping sound you could easily listen to over & over again.

Throughout this album, listeners are treated to a host of vocally demonstrative performances that are full of pure heart & powerfully expressive tones. Each track represents its own unique standpoint that contains both heart & soul. From piano-led love letters to hugely uplifting anthems, this album features something specific for everyone.
