Earlier today, it was announced upcoming 13-year-old musician Freya Skye will fly the flag for the United Kingdom at the 20th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan, Armenia, with the pop anthem “Lose My Head”.
During lockdown, the singer-songwriter took the opportunity to release her debut single & write more songs, including “I Love The Way”, which was featured on BBC Introducing.
Freya discovered she had been chosen to represent the UK when she was taken by her parents to a London theatre on the pretext that she needed to do one more audition.
Instead, she was surprised by West End performer & UK Eurovision 2017 entrant, Lucie Jones, who broke the news that she had already been selected to represent the UK.
Now, this gifted Junior Eurovision hopeful will be performing her entry “Lose My Head” in a few weeks, alongside 15 other talented musicial acts, all looking to share their music with the world.
This latest musical release is an uptempo pop-influenced composition that features a notion of electro elements to create an ear-catching melody that swiftly captures your full attention.
Throughout this release, Freya delivers a passion-driven performance that echoes the lyrical heart of this latest single & showcases the vocal versatility that this gifted artist possesses.
Freya is an extremely gifted artist who has a very bright & promising career ahead. I would not be surprised to see this artist creating a real & lasting impact on the music scene in the near future.
