Nashville-based visionary pop-country musician Izabel Gray has swiftly caught the attention of listeners through her upbeat & inspiring lyrical creativity.

During her career, Izabel has continuously worked hard to pursue her musical ambitions & strives to produce a variety of compositions direct from the heart.

Not long ago, Izabel unveiled the ear-catching new single “Like You”, which ideally paints a picture of that feeling experienced when you find your perfect match.

Izabel has kindly taken the time to speak with Fierce & Fabulous Revolution regarding the release of “Like You”. You can find the full interview listed below.

Hey Izabel, thank you for this interview. Can you start by telling readers a little bit about yourself?

Izabel: Thank you so much for having me! I grew up in St. Louis MO where I did dance, gymnastics, acting, modelling, and musical theatre. In 2018 I went to Los Angeles CA and performed at Industry Network where I met a producer and recorded my first two singles “Spotlight” and “Be The Difference” which were released in 2019. I then graduated from College with my BFA in Musical Theatre and spent the quarantine writing music and teaching myself guitar. I moved to Nashville in July of 2021 to pursue music and have been here ever since!

When did you first discover your passion for music?

Izabel: I have ALWAYS been musical and I definitely get it from my dad! When I was three years old my parents would take me to restaurants and I would go table to table singing for strangers! I guess you can say music is in my blood!

Have you always known that you wanted to pursue a career within the music industry?

Izabel: Yes! I have always wanted to be a singer! 12 year old me would be so proud of what I am doing now!

How would you currently describe your musical style?

Izabel: I am a pop-country artist and would compare my style to Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, and Kelly Clarkson.

You are about to release “Like You” on October 21st. How did the idea for this song come together?

Izabel: The idea of the song came from so many people telling me that they never thought they would end up with the person they’re with but it ended up being the perfect person for them. From there I thought of the hook “no one can love like you”.

How would you compare the creative process behind this song to your earlier releases?

Izabel: This song was pretty different because it was originally going to be a completely different song! I was almost done with it when I landed on the hook for “Like You” and completely started from scratch with my amazing co-writers!

Did you always plan to release “Like You” as a single?

Izabel: Yes! As soon as we finished “Like You” I knew I wanted people to hear it and I knew I wanted it to be a stand-alone single!

What does this song personally mean to you?

Izabel: This song is very important to me because people tend to judge others before they really know them. “Like You” challenges that idea because people aren’t always what they seem. I get judged a lot for what I do because I put my life on the internet for others to see, but I am a lot more than my posts on Instagram.

If listeners could take something away from this song, what would you like it to be?

Izabel: I hope that this sweet love song encourages the listeners to take the time to get to know someone because they may just be your perfect other half!

What advice would you offer to someone who was looking to pursue a career within the music industry?

Izabel: Never give up and don’t be afraid to ask for help! There is a lot of rejection in this industry but when it’s your passion it is so worth it!

Finally, is there a message that you would like to share with the readers of Fierce & Fabulous Revolution?

Izabel: Be kind to each other and let’s change the world for the better!
