After much anticipation, UK Singer-songwriter Ella Henderson has released her second studio album ‘Everything I Didn’t Say’.
It’s been nearly 8-years since the unveiling of Ella’s debut album ‘Chapter One’, which reached the top of the charts & featured the international smash-hit “Ghost”.
Since her debut album release, Ella has left her original label Syco & has received success with a stream of hits, including “This Is Real” alongside Jax Jones & “Let’s Go Home Together” with Tom Grennan.
Now, this gifted songstress brings us this brand new 16-track album that features a host of emotionally commendable songs, which will instantly pull on your heartstrings.
The first song to feature on this album, “Emotions”, is simply the perfect introduction. The song features a mid-tempo pop-influenced instrumental that flows alongside a host of immensely relatable lyrics that instantly connect with you on an in-depth level.
One of my personal favourites from this album, “Ugly”, is a self-empowering anthem that I believe everyone needs to hear. Its lyrical core draws raw-emotional strength from Ella’s musical intensity & highlights the distinctly dynamic complexity of her phenomenal powerhouse vocals.
There are a variety of songs that called out to me while embarking on this emotionally-stirring musical journey, aside from “Emotions” & “Ugly”, these included “Sorry That I Miss You”, “Everything I Didn’t Say”, “Good Things Take Time”, & “Places”.
Listening to this album is honestly like listening to the story of your life. Each track features an admirable host of intense connectivity that you can easily find solace within & there is at least one song that will personally call out to you.
Ella is a truly extraordinary artist whose music features the capability to inspire & empower listeners. I know that I won’t be alone in falling in love with this album & can see it creating an impact on a lot of listeners’ lives.
