Maltese music sensation Destiny Chukunyere has caught the attention of global music lovers through her vibrantly charismatic musical style & powerhouse vocals.
In 2015, Destiny first made her mark on the music scene with the catchy single “Not My Soul”, which went onto win the Junior Eurovision Song contest for Malta, with a total of 185 points.
After winning the contest, Destiny entered the 11th season of Britain’s Got Talent, where she received high praise from the judges, including Simon Cowell & reached a place in the semi-finals.
In 2019/20, Destiny competed in the second edition of the X Factor Malta, where she ended up winning the competition & being selected to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, in Rotterdam, with the song “All Of My Love”. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the contest was ultimately cancelled.
Not long after the cancellation of the contest, it was announced that Destiny would represent Malta at the 2021 edition of the competition, & after much anticipation, the song that she will be taking part with has been revealed.
The song Destiny will perform at the contest is “Je Me Casse”, which is the ultimate clap-back pop anthem, composed by Malin Christin, Amanuel Dermont, Nicklas Eklund, and Pete Barringer.
The lyrics contain a variation of empowering motions that many listeners will instantly be able to relate to, which helps to build a genuinely sincere connection from the very first listen.
In this latest single, Destiny delivers a dynamic vocal performance that reflects the passionate undertone behind the song & captures the pure power behind the lyrical aspect of this sensational musical piece.
I believe that Destiny is going to be one to watch at this year’s contest & I would not be surprised to this song making some serious waves within the global music scene very shortly.
