Finnish musician Aksel Kankaanranta was scheduled to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song “Looking Back”, which ended up being sadly cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, Aksel is looking to reclaim his spot on the Eurovision stage by competing in the Finnish national selection Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2021 (UMK) with the song “Hurt”.
This latest release an emotionally moving pop ballad that focuses on how looks can be deceiving & someone who appears fine on the outside could be deeply hurting on the inside. It’s also a reminder that you don’t need to be anyone but yourself.
