Review: Megan Dawson Releases The Brand New Single “Double Take”!

Upcoming Canadian singer-songwriter Megan Dawson has released the brand new single titled “Double Take”!

Speaking about her latest release, Megan said “When I sat down to write this song, I didn’t know what it was going to turn out to be but I knew I wanted something that was upbeat, easy to listen to and I wanted to keep it simple. It came out as a love song, though it means something very different for me now.”

She continues “Lyrically this song is about the concept of how two individuals can come from such different places but for some reason at one moment in time, they were supposed to end up in the same space, they unexpectedly go from being strangers, to being such an important part of your life. I think thats one of the coolest things. Sometimes we think that we know which people are going to be in our lives because they’ve always been there or they’re in front of us at the time but sometimes the people that are going to have the biggest impact on our lives, we haven’t even come across yet, or they’re not even in the same place as us at the time.”

Co-produced by Megan Dawson and Josh Gwilliam. This latest release combines pop & country elements to create an uptempo musical piece that brings a sense of mid-2000s nostalgia.

Megan delivers a vibrant vocal display that showcases the charismatic essence that flows within her sublime vocals & allows her the chance to express an energetic sounding performance that captures listeners instant connection.
