Review: Sarah Darling Releases Her Brand New Album ‘Wonderland’!

Nashville based country singer/songwriter Sarah Darling has been building up the anticipation for her 5th studio album ‘Wonderland’ over the past few months & now the wait is finally over!

For her latest album, Sarah turned her attention to a number of talented songwriters/producers, including Matthew Benbrook (Lana Del Ray, Paolo Nutini), Seton Daunt (Kylie Minogue, Gabrielle Aplin), Jonny Lattimer (Nina Nesbitt, Sam Smith), Ash Howes (Kylie, Gabriella Aplin), Pete Hammerton (Little Mix, The Shires), MyRiot (London Grammar), Shelly Poole (Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jack Savoretti) and Jessica Sharman (Ward Thomas). To create an album that embraces Sarah’s natural country routes, while incorporating the pop sensibility that the UK has become musically known for.

Speaking about her brand new album, Sarah said “The whole concept of ‘Wonderland’ was to explore a brand new world artistically and to stretch my boundaries as a writer and performer. I would walk into a co-writing session having never met the person before and leave feeling inspired. It’s a true reflection of me and the current ride I’m on, which is incredibly exciting. Music is about connection and I’m so proud to share this trans-Atlantic collab”.

For me, this album features a number of notable songs that highlight the natural undertone that surrounds Sarah’s voice while giving her an opportunity to deliver some incredible new songs that give us the chance to see a whole new side to Sarah’s musical style.

I feel that the album delivers a whole variety of lyrics that perfectly showcase the passionate texture that surrounds this talented artist’s voice, which help’s you to build an instant connection to the songs themselves.

Overall, I believe that Sarah has produced another incredible album that highlights her stunning musical gift & gives the listeners a chance to connect their personal experiences with the songs themselves. This is 100% an album that I would highly recommend checking out.
