“Self-staging is the new normal-a consequence of how we exist and how we see ourselves and each other. In the pursuit of recognition, you might take 200 selfies to get the perfect shot, only to end up posting nothing at all. ‘the perfect selfie’ tells a personal yet universal story about expectations, fractured self-esteem and a distorted sense of reality,” she says.
