REVIEW: Lottie Willis Shares The Vibrant New Anthem “Tired”!

Upcoming Sunderland pop singer-songwriter Lottie Willis builds on breakout momentum with new single “Tired”!

Following the success of her comeback single Rosie, North East pop artist Lottie Willis strikes again with “Tired”, the second release in an ongoing run of singles recorded and produced in Sunderland with local producer Connor Jobes (noyou).

After reconnecting with audiences through Rosie, which quickly became a live favourite across the region, “Tired” sees Lottie pushing herself creatively while maintaining the catchy, youth-driven pop energy that’s becoming her signature. The track places her distinctive voice front and centre, pairing emotional honesty with a lighter, more playful edge.

Written in early 2024, “Tired” was one of the first songs created during the sessions that would later shape this new era, but it wasn’t until after “Rosie” was completed that the track fully came to life. Inspired by the bold pop songwriting of Olivia Rodrigo (particularly all-american bitch) and the candid lyricism of Nieve Ella, Lottie approached the song with a new writing mindset, deliberately challenging her usual process.

Where much of her previous work leans into emotional weight and introspection, “Tired” embraces fun and relatability. Lottie explains: “With Tired I really challenged myself. I wanted to write something less serious than my other songs and just have fun with it. It’s about liking someone, seeing them with someone else, and getting way too drunk because of it. it’s chaotic but honest, and it’s become one of my favourite songs to play live.”
