Upcoming singer-songwriter Siena Fantini shares the brand new EP, “what is it with me?”, which features a 4-song extended play of her life. Through the release of the EP Fantini deals with the ups and downs that come with teen love, paired with the intensity of emotions that come with saying goodbye to dear friends.
Bringing her EP to life, Fantini recorded at Altamira Sound, where she was joined by industry professionals. Sean Hurley (John Mayer, Lana Del Rey) produced the track and played bass, while Harrison Whitford (Phoebe Bridgers, Role Model) contributed on guitar. Taylor Mackall (Lizzy McAlpine, Marcus Mumford, Joni Mitchell) added layers of keyboard and piano, and Kiel Feher (Selena Gomez, Lauv) provided drums. The project was polished by Grammy Award–winning engineer and mixer Darrell Thorp (Foo Fighters, Radiohead).
Speaking about the EP, Siena shares “This collection of songs feels so significant to me because they feel like they mark one of the biggest chapters of my life. It’s so cool to reflect on the music now because I wrote these songs when I was 15. I feel like these songs really are a very raw and honest narrative for me at fifteen years old.”
The EP invites listeners to reflect, whether by reminiscing on their teenage years or imagining the ones still ahead. These four songs mark the first chapter of Siena’s musical journey and marks formidable introduction to a gifted artist with a lot of heart and music to share.
