Saint Valentine, a queer musician and drag artist from New Jersey, whose music serves as a form of self-expression and a bridge bringing people together. Saint Valentine shares their journey of self-discovery through enchantingly penned fantastical fairytales and stories.
Coming off the success of their recent release, “Transjester,” Saint Valentine unveils the second chapter of their four-part debut EP of the same title. “The Good” is a soft hearted love letter to girlhood, an expression of deep admiration and love towards a female best friend, a longing to run away together. The indie folk track captures the
quintessential teenage dream of wanting to escape and having your whole life ahead of you.
The single confesses a loyal bond of wanting to take someone’s pain away, “Shoot your arrows if need be, but shoot them only at me if you need to bleed.” With effortless lyrical transitions that resonate like poetry, “The Good” adds artistic depth to Saint Valentine’s musical catalog. Often drawing nods to the fairytale-style songwriting of Taylor Swift’s folklore, Saint Valentine further plays into the themes of escapism, fantasy, and identity.
“The Good” originated from the creative minds of artist Saint Valentine, producer Shane Furst, and musician Luca Yannuzzi. Recorded at Cloud Factory Studio in Wayne, NY.
