RELEASE: ANI D Shares The New Official Video For “Color Of Your Soul”!

Queens-Native musician ANI D shares the brand new single “Color of Your Soul”, released on Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, the piece serves as both a personal reckoning and a broader cultural statement.

The song “Color of Your Soul” is written by Ani Djirdjirian and Krista Marina, produced by Krista Marina, Arman Aloyan and Ani Djirdjirian, and mixed by Arman Aloyan.

The piece emerged from ANI D’s long internal struggle as an artist in a world where profit often speaks louder than truth. “I created this piece as a response to the growing apathy in our political climate and a lifetime of being silenced as a queer SWANA artist and woman. I’ve been told over and over that business and politics don’t mix, that taking a stand would alienate my audience. Don’t be too polarizing. Don’t be yourself. Keep it light, cute, and casual if you want to be successful,” says Ani. “Money and fame are dangled in front of us at the cost of authenticity and humanity. But business is inherently political. And art is meant to stir. To confront.”

The song channels a belief that voices are often suppressed precisely because they carry truths that challenge established norms and the foundations of power. The inception of the piece was driven by an urgent emotional clarity, resulting in what ANI D describes as a natural and intuitive creative flow. This song articulates for those whose trauma feels silenced and encourages a brighter future where profit is not in favour over love and peace.
