Hayley shares “My EP “A Little Meaning” explores nostalgia and delving into all the “what ifs” in life, and the song Stranger continues that theme by asking: how many people are out there who we could potentially have a connection with that we’ll never actually speak to? I think about that all the time, especially when I consider all the people in my life who share a commonality with me, like an ex. Or when I think about all the people I didn’t interact with at one phase in my life, like high school or college, but then they re-entered my life later on and we became extremely close. How do we decide who gets to bridge that gap between strangers and more, and should we be more discerning about who gets our time or more open to all the possibilities? I think it makes me consider people twice now, and it really puts a romantic lens on every interaction. The idea that there are possibly millions of people out there that could be special to you if given the chance.”
