REVIEW: Natalie Del Carmen Shares The New Single “What Should’ve Been (By Now)”!

Emerging country-Americana artist Natalie Del Carmen has unveiled her brand new single, “What Should’ve Been (By Now)”, which explores the acceptance of life’s decisions while being able to put the past behind you.

After graduating from Berklee College of Music at just 20, Natalie fully embraced the country-Americana genre, drawing from her experiences & weaving them into her songwriting. Since then, Natalie has poured her heart into a string of releases that have received recognition from a notable string of online platforms & playlists.

The new full-bodied country-Americana single “What Should’ve Been (By Now)” explores the alternative paths from choices made throughout our lives & how different things could have been.

Speaking about the release, Natalie reveals, “I think the nostalgia of ‘what could’ve been’ is comforting and distressing simultaneously because it puts into perspective where we have landed, but how far we have to keep running.”

The lyrics observe the acceptance of life’s emotion-filled turbulence & letting go of things that could’ve been. Through each verse & the chorus, listeners experience a balance of tension between the attraction of the past & the peace from right now.

Throughout the song, Natalie provides an emotionally taxing performance that highlights the delicate serenity of her beautifully expressive vocals & accentuates the lyrical factor of this ear-catching composition.

Overall, this track echoes the emotional journey of making peace within the moment by leaving behind the ghosts of roads not taken behind. The lyrical core of this song makes it a relatable anthem for many people & leaves a staple of Natalie’s musical talents.
