REVIEW: Louise Parker Shares The Brand New Single “It’s Not Me, It’s You”!

Following a string of viral videos, Indie UK Country singer-songwriter Louise Parker recently unveiled the highly anticipated single “It’s Not Me, It’s You”, which also marks her first release of 2024.

After being diagnosed in May 2023 with muscle tension dysphonia, returning to music felt nearly impossible at the hardest of times, but time has always been the biggest healer & slowly but surely, with vocal therapy, Louise is returning to releasing & performing.

This latest release was born from a guy Louise was dating who broke up with her for not saying she loved him back after a week of dating (like, dude?). Following some reflection, Louise realised it wasn’t to do with her, but how he acted (yas queen!).

The song carries a modern country-influenced soundscape with a slight 2000s pop edge that creates an ear-catching sound that elevates the lyrical foundation of this summer bop.

Throughout this song, Louise provides a stellar performance full of passionate energy & joyous wonder that shows the integral charismatic animation of her vibrantly accelerating vocals. This song is a perfect showcase for Louise’s vocals to shine & she has clearly made the most of it.
