Welsh singer-songwriter Laura Evans unveils her brand new single “What I’m Made For”, offering an insight into the upcoming 4-track EP set for release on August 2nd, which gives a sense of her highly anticipated second studio album.
Talking about the new single Laura shared “I co-wrote this song last year with my partner Rich, and I knew it had to be the song to mark a new era as I was so excited by it. Inspired by my mother’s words of encouragement when I was a kid, ‘Show ‘em what you’re made of “is a mantra I now fully embrace. This song is just a message of empowerment to myself more than anything else, being a female in the music industry has its fair share of ups and downs and I must remind myself to stay true to myself and create the art and music I want to make.”
This latest release was produced by Sheffield-based musician, songwriter & producer Nick Atkinson, & mastered at Abbey Road Studios. The song centres around self-empowerment & that drive to believe in yourself even when the odds seem stacked against you.
The song carries a variety of country, Blues, Rock & a touch of Soul to create a catchy melody that projects the wholehearted lyrical core of this energetic anthem.
Not only do we see the release of this exciting single, but Laura also provides a lively music video filmed at Royal William Yard, Ocean Studios featuring her live band, Joe Coombs, Daisy Pepper & Jamie Dawson, Which was Filmed & edited by Richard Turner.
