Los Angeles-based pop singer-songwriter Ilona is swiftly making a mark on the global music scene through a variety of attention-grabbing releases such as “Talk To My Body” & “Catch My Vibe”. Now, Ilona looks to make waves once again with the sensual new single “Feel”.
This latest single centres around the fear of falling in love & the bravery that comes from giving into your emotions & allowing yourself to fall for someone on a deeply personal level.

Hey Ilona, thank you for taking the time for this interview. Can you start by introducing yourself to readers who might be unfamiliar with your music?
Ilona: Hi Fierce Fabulous Revolution! Thank you for having me (again)! 😊
I’m Ilona, an artist based in LA with Minnesota roots. I’ve been living in LA for two years now!! Ahh, I can’t believe it! I recently released 4 singles and am currently working on new music. It’s been a huge honour to live in the creative hub that is LA.
How would you currently describe your musical style?
Ilona: I would describe my musical style as sensual, vibrant, fierce and soulful. I’ve always loved dance and soul-riveting music. I have a huge soft spot for tearjerkers as well! I recently started experimenting with new sounds, and I’m falling deeper into soulful music that reminds me of Amy Winehouse, Raye, and Adele. And also EDM/and house music.
You recently released the new single “Feel.” How did the idea for this song come together?
Ilona: “Feel” was so spontaneous. I wrote it as I was going to sleep. I turned over in bed and had a really cool idea for a melody and the only word that came to mind was “feel.” I think it’s hard to be vulnerable and share yourself with someone. I kept trying to sleep but the idea turned into a voice memo, and the next day I wrote the pre-chorus and verse. I knew it had to be the next track, and naturally, it had a very romantic element to it! I also feel like it is my first record that showcases a new side of my voice one has heard.
Have you always planned on releasing “Feel” as a single?
Ilona: Yes, I always planned to release “Feel” as a single it had a very independent theme to it!
What does this song personally mean to you?
Ilona: What this song means to me personally is that it is brave to fall in love and to surrender to your emotions. I love writing in a romantic headspace. I think it can be really hard and scary to put yourself out there, and this song is doing that. It’s trust-fall and fearless.
If listeners could take anything away from this song, what would you like it to be?
Ilona: I hope listeners can leave with a sense of inspiration to do the same! To ‘feel’ and to fall in!
I also want this song to resonate with my listeners and for people to really enjoy and dance to it!
I had the lovely opportunity to interview you last year for your summer anthem, “Catch My Vibe,” & since then, we’ve seen your music continue to grow onto the global scene. How does it feel to see your music connecting with so many people around the world?
Ilona: Wow! I can’t believe it’s been almost a year! I’m so honoured to see the growth in listenership and just to be able to put myself out there as an artist and share my story. But most of all to see people connect. I think having listening ears is the best reward for any artist, and when people say, “I’ve been there, or felt that.” Or “I just got chills.”
Do you have any further releases planned that you can currently share with us?
Ilona: I do have more releases on the way and I can’t wait to share them! It’s a new chapter and with every song, there is just such a learning curve and growth. I’m also going to be performing live this year!! So please please come!! 😊
What advice would you offer to someone who is looking to pursue a career in the music industry?
Ilona: Everyone has advice to give but follow your arrow wherever it points. Each person has a different path in artistry and what worked for one person might not work for you. Stay true to what makes you happy, and most important share yourself and your story.
