After much anticipation, highly acclaimed musician Olly Alexander has unveiled the brand new single “Dizzy”, which will represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden.
A few weeks ago, Olly teased fans with a short snippet from the brand new single that left many fans (including myself) eagerly awaiting the full reveal & now the wait is finally over.
Co-written alongside Danny L Harle, this latest single is an electro-pop anthem that will have you heading to the dance floor in no time.
The song carries notions of electro & pop-synth elements to create a soundscape reminiscent of a vintage dancefloor filler. I feel that although this is a very radio-friendly hit, there is something there that tells me that Olly has created this based on the live performance aspect & this is a teaser for what’s in store for the Eurovision stage.
Olly provides an effectively mesmerising performance that highlights the charismatic qualities of the significant vocal harmonies this gifted artist possesses, which help to guide listeners through a spellbinding musical journey that leaves you fully immersed.
Overall, I believe this song reflects the musical visionary we have come to love from Olly over the years (& years) & brings listeners an immersive musical venture that leaves you craving more. I wish Olly the best of luck on the Eurovision stage!
