Review: Louise Parker Unveils Her Debut Album ‘Living in Silver Linings’!

Upcoming country singer-songwriter Louise Parker has swiftly become one of the leading lights within the UK country music scene through her charismatic musical creativity & passion-filled angelic vocals.

With singles such as “Lie To Me”, “Just Friends”, & “If You Want Me To” (Alongside Joey Clarkson) reaching the top 5 within the UK iTunes Country music chart throughout the last 12 months, Louise now looks poised to capture the hearts of music lovers once again with the release of her debut album ‘Living In Silver Linings’.

Speaking about her debut album, Louise said “It’s been a long time dream of mine to release an LP, and this collection of songs have not let me down. I am proud to have written, played on and co-produced every single song on this album, I have really given my blood, sweat and tears to this project.

She continued “I started recording my new songs like ‘Lie to Me’ and ‘Fake Friends’ October 2019 at a studio in Austin, Texas not knowing what they would become or what I was going to do with them. Originally planned for release Spring 2020 I decided to postpone after the world was hit by the tragic Covid-19 pandemic, although this was a heartbreaking decision it gave me more time in the studio and bought this epiphany of recreating my acoustic tracks from 2019. Recreating those tracks has been one of my proudest achievements to date.

The album title was an off-hand comment I made to a friend last year, to which they responded ‘sounds like the title of an epic song’, it just fell in to place naturally. ‘Living in Silver Linings’ is about making the best of a bad situation, staying positive when times are tough, and that’s something music has always done for me. This album has also taught me to be true to myself and my intuition, as the quote goes from the ‘Just Friends’ music video – ‘Don’t sacrifice yourself for anyone else. Experiment and have fun as time will come and go, but never lose you, always be true to yourself and you’ll never be lost.'”

Louise’s debut album features a collection of 10 songs that showcase the distinguished charm that features deep within this gifted artist’s vastly innovative musical spirit.

The album plays host to a multitude of country & pop musical tendencies that incorporate elements of folk & acoustic throughout several tracks to create something positively extraordinary that will instantly attract your complete attention.

Included on this album are four previously released fan favourites that Louise has beautifully re-imagined that showcase a new side to these already much-loved tracks, which enables listeners to experience a whole new side to these incredible musical pieces.

A number of my favourites to feature on this album include “If You Want Me To”, “Just Friends”, & “Should’ve, Could’ve, Will”, however, there is not one single track that I would immediately skip over while listening on repeat.

Louise delivers a consistent vocal performance that highlights the unique virtue within her tentative voice & produces a balance of pure & raw beauty to highlight the vast host of naturally distinguished emotions that feature throughout this remarkable album.

Overall, I believe that this album showcases the creative elegance & charisma within Louise’s distinct country musical charm, which offers listeners the opportunity to see & experience the captivating brilliance behind this artist’s emotionally moving style.
