Interview: Lorraine Nash Discusses The Release Of Her Latest Single “Winter Sun”!

Following on from the recent success of her debut EP ‘Wildflower‘, Upcoming singer-songwriter Lorraine Nash has released the brand new single “Winter Sun”.

Lorraine has kindly taken the time to speak with Fierce & Fabulous Revolution about her latest release. You can find out what she had to say below.

Hey Lorraine, thank you so much for this interview. You recently released the new single “Winter Sun”, how did the idea to create the song come together?

Lorraine: Thank you for having me! I knew I wanted to release something coming up to Christmas so set myself the task of writing a winter themed song. The general idea of the song, and the title, actually stemmed from a draft of a chorus I had written nearly a year ago but never followed up on.

How would you compare the creative process behind this single to your previous releases?

Lorraine: This was a totally new experience for me, all of the work was done from home and it came together in quite a short space of time. For the last tracks I didn’t really give myself any time restraints as there was no pressure with my first release, but I needed this done for December for it to be relevant. Working with the engineer over skype was also new to me but after some initial technical difficulties it all came together quite well!

What does “Winter Sun” personally mean to you?

Lorraine: As I said it was something that I started and never finished a while back but I guess the idea of it is your first impression of someone changing when you get to know them more and how you can be dissapointed by expectations you build up in your own head.

How did your family & friends react to your latest single?

Lorraine: My family and friends have been really great about this last song, loads of kind words and they’ve done their best to share it around too.

If listeners could take anything away from this latest release, what would you like it to be?

Lorraine: The song was kind of written about a learning curve of my own so I suppose if anyone listening can relate it to an experience they’ve had that’s always a nice feeling.
