Review: Tom Walker Releases His Debut Album ‘What A Time To Be Alive’!

2019 BRIT award winner Tom Walker, has released his highly anticipated debut album ‘What A Time To Be Alive’!

The anticipation for Tom’s debut release has had many of us on the edge of our seats & now the time has finally arrived to sit back, grab some popcorn & see what this latest release has in store for us.

While listening to this album you feel an instant connection to the stories behind the songs & in a way, it seems as though you can just escape into your own little world for a small amount of time.

There is something about each track that delivers an emotional connection from the very first listen. I feel as though each song has a personal meaning for Tom, as he is able to constantly deliver the pure & passionate energy behind his voice & help to bring the narrative behind each song to life.

A number of my favourite tracks behind this album include “Leave The Light On” (Obviously!), “Not Giving In”, “My Way”, & “Fade Away”.

One thing I was slightly worried about before listening to this album was if Tom was going to be able to deliver the same instant connection you feel while listening to “Leave A Light On” & I am very pleased to announce that there are a number of tracks featured that are able to make you feel the same way. For example “Not Giving In” & “My Way” deliver such heart-touching narratives, which you just fall in love with from the very first listen & feature the instant connection that I was looking for from this album.

Overall, I believe that is album perfectly showcases the music that we have come to love from Tom in recent years. There isn’t a single track that I would skip over & could happily listen to this over & over again.

The way that Tom has delivered an album full of incredibly meaningful & personal songs, which I believe we can all connect with in some way or another, is a true statement to his pure musical style & his passion as an artist. I would highly recommend giving this album a listen!
